A garage door manufacturer makes doors in a factory and usually sells them through a network of suppliers and installers rather than to homeowners directly. A supplier and installer, like us, chooses doors from manufacturers, surveys your opening, orders the right size and specification, and fits it. For most homes and businesses the practical question is not who made the door but who takes responsibility for it being right in your opening.
We want to be clear about our own role: we do not manufacture doors. What each one actually does
The three roles are often blurred in search results and adverts, which is why the question comes up so often.

Why the fitting matters as much as the door
A well-made door fitted badly will run poorly. The spring tension has to match the finished door weight, the tracks have to be plumb in an opening that is rarely square, and the motor limits and safety settings have to be set on site. None of that happens in the factory. When people are unhappy with a new door, the cause is more often the fitting than the product.
That is also why buying a door yourself and finding someone else to fit it can be awkward. If something is wrong, the supplier may point at the fitter and the fitter at the door.
Buying through a supply and fit firm
With supply and fit, one firm measures, orders and installs, so one firm answers for the result. That is the way we work. It means the door is ordered to the measurements we took, and if anything does not line up on the day, putting it right is our job rather than a dispute between two businesses.

- Are replacement parts for this make readily available?
- Is removal of my old door included?

Questions we get asked
- Are you a garage door manufacturer?
- No. We supply and fit garage doors, commercial and industrial doors made by manufacturers, and we repair them. We do not make doors ourselves.
- Is it cheaper to buy direct from a manufacturer?
- Most manufacturers do not sell direct to homeowners, and a door on its own still needs measuring, fitting and setting up. Compare the fitted cost, not the door-only price.
- Does it matter who made my door if I need a repair?
- It helps to know, because it affects which parts fit. We repair doors we did not install, so if you do not know the make, the engineer can usually identify it on site.
- Can you supply a door for someone else to fit?

- What should I look for in a garage door supplier?
